• Working hours: Part-time, between 9 and 38 hours per week (Tuesday through Saturday)
• Location: Maastricht
• Hourly wage: 15,42 per hour (from age 21)

As a sales assistant at Hendriks Poelier, you work at the heart of the shop, among fresh chicken, poultry, game and homemade specialities. You work in a small, close-knit team where you help one another and the atmosphere is relaxed and personal. Your day starts by setting up the counter and preparing the shop. Afterwards, you help customers choose something for dinner or a special occasion, process their purchases at the till and make sure everything looks neat and well cared for. In between, you restock products, keep the workplace clean and prepare orders. At the end of the day, you tidy the counter together with your colleagues, check the refrigerators and prepare the shop for the next day.

What you will do:

• Welcome customers in a friendly manner, help them and advise them about chicken, poultry, game and specialities.
• Weigh, package and sell products behind the counter, with an eye for presentation.
• Carry out checkout duties and ensure a smooth and accurate process.
• Keep the shop, counter and work areas clean, tidy and organised according to the hygiene rules.
• Work together with your colleagues, prepare orders and see where work needs to be done so that the shop runs smoothly.

• €15,42 per hour from age 21, plus holiday pay
• Clear working hours from Tuesday through Saturday between 9:00 and 18:00
• Part-time job contract with flexible hours
• Holiday days and 8% holiday pay according to the collective labour agreement
• Close-knit, friendly team in the heart of Maastricht

What we ask of you

We are looking for an enthusiastic sales assistant who enjoys customer contact and would like to work in a friendly, traditional team.

• Enthusiastic, customer-oriented and easy to get along with
• Neat, accurate and attentive to a well-presented shop
• Experience with a cash register or willing to learn this quickly
• Available from mid-August Tue–Fri 09:00–18:00, Sat 09:00–16:00 (or at least 1 day per week)
• Living in (the area around) Maastricht
