Sales Assistant Hendriks Poelier Maastricht

• Working hours: Part-time, between 9 and 38 hours per week (Tuesday to Saturday)
• Location: Maastricht
• Hourly wage: 15,42 per hour (from age 21)

As a sales assistant at Hendriks Poelier, you are at the heart of the shop, among the fresh chicken, poultry, game and homemade specialities. You work in a small, close-knit team where you help one another and where the atmosphere is relaxed and personal. Your day starts by setting up the counter and preparing the shop. Then you help customers choose something for dinner or a special occasion, process purchases at the till and make sure everything looks neat and presentable. In between, you restock products, keep the work area clean and prepare orders. At the end of the day, you tidy the counter with your colleagues, check the refrigerators and prepare the shop for the next day.

What you will do:

• Welcome, help and advise customers about chicken, poultry, game and specialities.
• Weigh, package and sell products behind the counter, with an eye for presentation.
• Carry out till duties and ensure smooth and accurate processing.
• Keep the shop, counter and work areas clean, tidy and organised according to hygiene regulations.
• Work with your colleagues, prepare orders and see where work needs doing so the shop runs smoothly.

• €15,42 per hour from age 21, plus holiday allowance
• Clear working hours Tuesday to Saturday between 9:00 and 18:00
• Part-time job contract with flexible hours
• Holiday days and 8% holiday allowance according to the collective labour agreement

What we ask of you

We are looking for an enthusiastic sales assistant who enjoys customer contact and likes working in a pleasant, artisanal team.

• Enthusiastic, customer-oriented and easy to get along with
• Neat, accurate and attentive to maintaining a well-presented shop
• Experience with a cash register or willing to learn quickly
• Available from mid-August Tue-Fri 09:00-18:00, Sat 09:00-16:00 (or at least 1 day per week)
• Living in (the area around) Maastricht
