What you will do

Do you enjoy customer contact, like working with delicious food, and would you enjoy working in an artisanal shop in the heart of Maastricht? At Hendriks Poelier, you will have a part-time job as a delicatessen shop sales assistant that is easy to combine with your studies or private life, with fixed opening hours from Tuesday through Saturday.

All this in a shop where you get to know regular customers and where there is room to ask questions, contribute ideas and develop yourself step by step.

Your duties as a delicatessen shop sales assistant:

• Greet customers in a friendly manner and advise them about our range.
• Weigh, package and neatly display products in the display counter.
• Process purchases and carry out cash register duties.
• Restock the shop and keep it clean and organized.
• Prepare orders and help open and close the shop.
• Work together in a small team where everyone rolls up their sleeves.

  
  

What we offer you

You will have a part-time job with clear terms and room to learn. Below, you can see at a glance what you can expect from us in practical terms.

• Hourly wage: €15,42 per hour from age 21
• Flexible working hours: between 9 and 38 hours per week
• Daytime working hours from Tuesday through Friday between 09.00 and 18.00 and on Saturday until 16.00.
• Holiday allowance: 8% accrual according to the collective labour agreement
• Holiday days: according to the collective labour agreement, appropriate to your contracted hours
• A varied job with lots of customer contact.

What we ask of you

You are a good fit for us if you are customer-focused, enjoy working together and like working in a traditional poultry shop with regular customers.

• You are friendly, easy-going and helpful
• You are neat, precise and pay attention to hygiene
• You have experience with a cash register or learn quickly
• You are available at least 1 day per week during opening hours (splitting the shifts is also possible)
• You live in Maastricht or the surrounding area
